The injury to the lungs as a result of the air blast (shockwave) produced by a bomb explosion is referred to as blast lung.
Features of blast lung:
subpleural patchy hemorrhages especially in line of ribs
rupture of alveolar septa
intrapulmonary hemorrhage
desquamation of broncial and alveolar epithelia
bullae formation at margins
pulmonary edema
blood stained froth in the airways
bronchopneumonia
