3 by 5 target (WHO)

It is an initiative by the WHO and UNAIDS announced on December 1st 2003
It aims at providing antiretroviral treatment (ART) for 3 million people with AIDS living in low and middle income countries by end of year 2005.
It focussed on simplified and standardised tools to deliver ART
