as it is placed beneath integument on the ulnar side of hand.
arises from tendinous fasiculi from transverse carpal ligament & palmar aponeurosis and inserted in to skin on ulnar border of the palm of hand ..mostly beneath skin(subcutaneous) ref: Grey’s anatomy
remaining muscles appear more deeper based on origin and insertion
