Dennie-Morgan fold (Atopic pleat)

  • Dennie-Morgan fold is also known as Dennie-Morgan line, Dennie line and Atopic pleat
  • It is a transverse fold seen below the lower eyelid (giving the appearance of a double infraorbital fold)  in patients with atopic dermatitis
  • It is usually present at or soon after birth
  • It starts below the medial end of the lower lid and extends obliquely laterally and downwards
